It includes the number of hits, visits, pages visited, times visited, etc. A web site program manager must derive from the data available a reporting scheme that captures the special objectives of the site and design additional analysis to analyze trends. The evaluator must consider factors such as special advertising campaigns, new site developments, and the growth in internet access as variables in interpreting data from the MIS. Analytic techniques utilized at the National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information are described and the techniques for promoting growth are explained.
