Analysis of Illinois public opinion regarding school health instruction and programs

A random-digit dailed telephone survey was conducted throughout Illinois. The purpose of this telephone survey was to assess and analyze public opinion regarding school health instruction and services. Survey data was obtained from 675 Illinois residents in January 2000. Results determine support for school health instrcution and programs, awareness of potential benefits of school health instruction and services, liklihood to vote in next election, and development of profiles of those likely to support and oppose school health instruction and programs. This information may assist in the development of marketing strategies in support of school health instruction and programs.
