Environmental health research toward developing sustainability standards

This presentation will summarize the sustainability literature toward creating standard indicators to perform research and to set policy and monitor implementation. Successes and challenges in creating standardized analytic tools will be discussed that will help focus attention on health implications of decisions about the built environment, emphasize the health consequences of these decisions, and ultimately facilitate the protection of health and promote more human-focused growth in the built environment.
