Growth, precaution, and environmental justice

What are the implications for the economy, the environment, public health, and social justice of the premise once told to me by a Native American woman: "Capitalism requires constant growth, which is impossible on a finite planet. So, capitalism is doomed." This talk is an exploration of this haunting warning based on the Precautionary Principle as outlined in the serial Rachel’s Environment and Health News.
