Role of dentists in improving health literacy

Because oral health is an integral part of overall health, this presentation will focus on the role of dentists in improving health literacy and its impact oral health outcomes. The presentation will examine the critical role of dentists and hygienists to identify understand and address the health literacy challenges of patients seeking dental care.

Identify what dental/dental hygiene schools could do to increase the communications skills of their students.
