Initiatives to Train the Public Health Workforce in Evidence-based Public Health
Expanding the reach of evidence-based public health (EBPH) is a focus of many current efforts. This session will describe development and implementation of a training program to promote EBPH among public health practitioners. Presenters will explain skills required to improve public health practice and will show examples of resources to enable practitioners in the field to improve their practice.
Learning Objectives: At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
  1. Identify the key principles of evidence-based public health (EBPH);
  2. Describe a national EBPH training program for practitioners; and
  3. Identify resources for practitioners to access evidence-based strategies.
