| Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders maintain a holistic view of health. Cultural values, limited island resources, and social support influence health behaviors. This session will describe initiatives to improve the health and well-being of Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities, both in the Pacific and on the continental United States. National evidence-based practices will be described and adapted to produce models that are more suitable to a holistic view of health. Implications for policy will be described. | |||
