Evaluation framework for swift assessment and translation (SWAT) of promising strategies to promote healthy weight in US worksites

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is developing and testing a framework to evaluate strategies in worksite settings for maintaining or attaining healthy body weight. The Swift Worksite Assessment and Translation (SWAT) methodology is a middle ground between informal judgment (often without supporting hard data) and rigorous evaluation research (often a lengthy, expensive process). Results of the experience in applying the SWAT evaluation approach will be presented together with results of nine site visits conducted in 2005-2006.
