Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session the participants will be able to

• Describe factors that help explain variations in breastfeeding rates among states in the US.
• Describe rates and shifts in patterns of exclusive breastfeeding during infants first six months of life.
• Analyze aspects of a statewide breastfeeding coalitions, that have helped imporve the climate supporting breastfeeding.
