Advances in Health Disparities Research
This session features research on the causes and consequences of health disparities and on possible administrative and policy solutions. Individual presenters will examine new approaches for assessing and reducing disparities in health and health care.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, participants will be able to (1) identify factors that contribute to disparities in health and health care across population groups defined by race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status; (2) assess organizational and administrative strategies for reducing health disparities; and (3) identify issues in need of further research to reduce health disparities.
