Because of wireless technologies, advances in mobile computers, biomedical device miniaturization, and the increased speed of computers, real-time remote monitoring is achievable for various public health care needs including, but not limited to maternal/child health, oral health, podiatric health, Mental Health, gerontological Health, dermatological health, environmental illness, and other public health care needs. This talk with provide an overview of how remote monitoring may be used to provide significant population health data and, at the same time, intelligently prevent illness, injury, and disease.
