SBIRT is a comprehensive, integrated, public health approach to the delivery of early intervention and treatment services for persons with substance use disorders, as well as those who are at risk of developing these disorders. This presentation helps learners navigate sbirt.samhsa.gov and discusses opportunities for future website development. This internet site provides a single, comprehensive repository of SBIRT information to promote screening and brief intervention practice. The information includes training manuals, online resources, links to organizations and publications, and a list of references. For grantees, there are portals for grants management, technical assistance and government reporting requirements (such as GPRA). The site is updated continuously as new tools, resources, and information become available. The various targeted markets and audiences of the site will be described as well as strategies to provide the most useful and relevant information. Future web development will focus on college and university health screening practice, screening and brief intervention training for trauma care settings, sustainability strategies for SBIRT programs, and training curricula for primary care.
