The presentation on the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey event files will cover the following medical events for the year 2004: inpatient stays, emergency room visits, outpatient visits, office-based visits, home health visits, dental visits, prescribed medicines and other medical expenses. Content of the presentation will cover information on utilization and associated expenditures for the above medical events. Discussion will also focus on instrument design and content.
