Proposals for Universal Health Care: Are They Real? Can They Work?

Presidential candidates, Members of Congress, and academic policy analysts have proposed a variety of plans that claim to achieve universal health care. This paper will review these proposals and analyze their potential, if they were to be implemented, for actually achieving access to health care for all the residents of this country in an affordable manner
