Abstract #166345

Discussant: The public heath consequences of the Iraq War from the perspective of labor

Denice Lombard, US Labor Against the War, 1660 L Street, Washington, DC 20036, 202-320-5588, denicez@verizon.net

The mission of US Labor Against the War includes supporting our troops and their families by working to bringing the troops home now. We promote policies that ensure decent compensation, veteran's benefits and domestic policies administered without discrimination and that prioritize the needs of working people who make up the bulk of the military. This discussant will reflect on the issues presented by the previous speakers and suggest policies that promote dignity, economic justice and respect for all working people.
