Evaluating Occupational Safety Regulations - What works?
This session will discuss emerging data relating to the impact of enforcement inspections and consultation visits on claims rates relating to safety regulations. The session will also discuss the impact of leadership training among California's Worker Occupational Safety and Health Specialist program. The session will also cover the safety of healthcare laundry workers, and the occupational safety challenges for EMS transportation workers. Lastly, there will be a presentation on the evaluation of a governmental voluntary protection program.
Learning Objectives: 1. Describe the goals, learning objectives and teaching methodology of California's Worker Occupational Safety and Health (WOSH) Specialist training program 2. Recognize the occupational health impact of changes in the healthcare laundry industry 3. To define the vehicle related transportation occupational safety issues in EMS
