| Six stimulating papers from presenters with extensive experience in the global occupational health field. Papers examining lean manufacturing in China, corporate responbility, and other safety issues in Asia as well a central american effort to educate physicians in occupational health. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: 1.Recognize the new workplace health hazards created by "lean manufacturing" techniques in industrial settings, both in China and internationally; 2. Articulate the new hazard control measures required to effectively reduce or eliminate adverse health impacts resulting from lean manufacturing techniques; 3. Develop an effective approach to recognizing, evaluating and controlling occupational health hazards arising from new technologies, such as lean manufacturing, in industrial production in China and globally. | ||||
