Advances in Organizational Design and Management
Health organizations are faced with decreased funding, changes in work culture, weakened infrastructure and low employee morale. In this session a discussion of different approaches organizations may use to design management initiatives including: team development, mentor programs, measurement of organizational capacity and re-directing use of resources is provided. The participant will also receive evaluation models and resources for additional research
Learning Objectives: Participants should be able to: Discuss the human resource implications for local government’s role in community capacity building. Define the role of leadership in creating and sustaining a culture of learning within their department/agency. Describe the importance of a Mentor Program to an organization’s growth, development and stability and how to use the tools and resources to create it. Identify three core components of employee satisfaction and articulate their relationship to teamwork.
