| The built/physical environment and policies are now recognized as significant influences upon lifestyle behaviors such as physical activity. This session will feature presentations that will describe how the built/physical environment and policies are impacting the physical activity of varied populations in diverse settings. The session will also present the manner in which communities are intervening at these two levels of behavioral influence. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: 1. Recognize the manner in which communities are implementing environmental and policy strategies to promote physical activity. 2. Discuss the potential impact that environmental and policy changes in various settings have on physical activity. 3. List 3-5 environmental and/or policy approaches that favorably impact physical activity. | ||||
