| Women's Equity in Access to Care and Treatment (WE-ACTx) began working in Rwanda in 2004 to provide HIV care for women who had been raped and infected with HIV during the genocide. Working with over 20 Rwandan community partners and within the Rwandan public health infrastructure, WE-ACTx provides Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT), 3 clinic sites, a family program, trauma counseling, prevention of mother to child transmission, and an income generation program. The panel will share experiences concerning family centered care, need for food programs, post traumatic stress, and the specific Rwandan experience with HIV and trauma. | ||||
