| The Maternal-Child Health and Wellness provides intervention strategies for at risk mothers and children. These include discussion of a variety of community partnerships and innovative nursing roles. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: 1. Discuss public health nursing interventions to improve dental health of young mothers and their offspring 2. Identify the components of a child-parent fitness and nutrition community partnership model. 3. Describe the need for quality improvements in the structure and process of pediatric preventive health care services for children 0-3 years of age. 4. Describe the development and current status of the partnership between APHA Public Health Nursing Section and Healthy Steps for Young Children. 5. Explain strategies for assuring key public-private practice collaboration among local early childhood service providers | ||||
