| This session provides an in-depth examination of recent trends in risk behaviors among adolescents and antecedents to risky sexual behaviors. The program also features an overview of an intervention program with a focus on behavior risk reduction among urban African American adolescents. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: Recognize the prevalence of sexually risky behaviors and related health concerns among low-income communities. Describe how trends in non sexual risk behaviors are associated with trends in sexual risk behaviors in adolescents. Link behavioral and psychological markers associated with sexually risky behavior. Discuss utilization of antecedents to sexually risky behavior for targeted prevention interventions. Discuss the policy and programmatic implications of trends in sexual risk behaviors. | ||||
