| This session includes presentations on current student research. Topics include health professions training programs and their role in community health centers, intimate partner violence, perceptions of STI testing during routine gynecological care, acceptance of early abortion services in primary care settings, and sexual risk behaviors among orphans and non-orphans in Tanzania. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of the session, the participant (learner) will be able to: 1. List the top benefits and challenges of community health center participation in health professions training programs; 2. Describe the prevalence of non-fatal intimate partner violence (IPV) for females; 3. Discuss young women's understanding of sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing as provided during routine gynecologic care; 4. Assess the opinions of women about their primary care physicians offering early pregnancy termination services; 5. Identify individual and community level factors which appear to enhance risk or confer protection as regards risk behaviors of adolescents. | ||||
