| This session's focus is primarily the establishing of wellness competencies in chiropractic education and models of wellness in clinical practice. Reported on will be an international health promotion initiative and an exploration of the demographic characteristics of an underserved population. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: •List main objectives of the Council on Chiropractic Education's wellness competencies •Describe a practical, efficient method to deliver a thorough wellness visit in a chiropractic practice. •Discuss the evolving role of chiropractic in health promotion and prevention •Describe key elements in developing a community health outreach in third world countries. •Identify characteristics of Medicaid patients presenting to an academic chiropractic clinic and utilize this information to improve outreach to underserved populations | ||||
