| This session will continue the tradition of the past decade of APHA meetings, where members discuss current issues in injury data. The following topics will be discussed at length: 1) operationalizing definitions from Healthy People 2010, 2) new features of WISQARS, 3) accurately defining poisonings, and 4) the work of ISW5 in updating the STIPDAGreen book on injury surveillance. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: 1. Describe current challenges in collecting, managing, and sharing data on injuries. 2. Describe new features of the CDC’s WISQARS web-based application. 3. Describe nuances of classifying poisonings. | ||||
