| Exciting advances are being made in epidemiologic methods and statistical approaches to studying injury outcomes. This session highlights a number of these important developments. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: 1. Describe a new risk index for predicting fatality risk in aviation crashes. 2. Critique a chain-referral sampling technique for studying targeted youth populations. 3. Describe a new method for calculating unbiased confidence intervals using negative binomial regression. 4. Describe a novel approach to studying motor vehicle crash injuries using linked national databases. 5. Describe a method enabling more accurate prediction of hospital length of stay among injury patients. | ||||
