| Detection of HIV remains a public health priority. New advances have emerged regarding HIV screening. Furthermore, the CDC has recently provided recommendations concerning HIV screening and testing procedures. This session will provide updates on the CDC recommendations, describe the application of these guidelines to specific settings, and identify factors related to persons’ willingness to get tested and receive counseling. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: 1. Articulate the demographic characteristics associate with STI/HIV screening among diverse, vulnerable groups 2. To understand the barriers and facilitators associated with implementing HIV screening in diverse settings 3. Develop strategies to improve the implementation of STI/HIV screening programs | ||||
