| This roundtable session offers the participant an opportunity to discuss various with the author studies related to occupational epidemiology. These interesting talks include: mortality surveillance among younger workers, lung function in workplace asthmatics, all cause mortality in urban transit operators, forklift fatalities, and conditions of soldiers who have fought in Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: 1. Describe the mortality experience of a modern cohort of petroleum company employees 2. Examine whether history of workplace exascerbated asthma is associated with irreversible airway obstruction 3. Describe the importance of assessing the contribution of smoking to all-cause mortality among a blue-collar occupational cohort. 4. Identify and describe 4 ways in which forklift fatalities occur. 5. Describe occurrence of pre-existing conditions among deployed Air Force personnel serving in Operations IRAQI and ENDURING FREEDOM | ||||
