Discussion: Physical Inactivity and Other Causes of Obesity
The lack of physical activity among Americans has become an increasingly important cause for concern. This roundtable will discuss a variety of topics relating to physical activity, including successful interventions implemented in varying cultures, differences in approaches to measure physical activity, state-wide assessment physical activity among youth, and the effects of acculturation of Latinos on physical activity.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session, the participant will be able to: 1. Identify factors affecting exercise participation in a variety of populations 2. Describe the relationships between physical activity level and environmental and psychological factors for physical activity
