| It is important for public health nurses to understand the political process and the relationship to their practice. This session identifies many different ways in which public health nurses can gain basic information about the political process, such as being able to identify the legislative process, become acquainted with their government representatives and finally, to realize how they can make a difference in their practice by using political power. | ||||
| Learning Objectives: Public health nurses will identify opportunities for involvement in local political activities and define ways in which they can be active constituents in the political process. | ||||
