| This panel will illustrate the implosion of a major health care system from six different perspectives. Panel topics include: 1. Discussion of decisions in health care financing, billing practices and mismanagement and how the combination led to a budget crisis. 2. An overview of principles of Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC); health care and human rights and presentation of how budget decisions can sometimes reject best practice evidence. 3. Overview of human rights protections of prisoners and detainees; quality assurance evidence presentation of healthcare in a major correctional facility; description of impact of correctional health budget restructuring. 4. A description of county public health department budget priorities and changes brought on by budget restructuring. 5. Dismantlement of Community Healthcare that can threaten community clinics closing and the direct impact on a nationally recognized programming; and, 6. Data presentation of patient responses to survey questionnaires conducted at multiple clinics slated for closure. | ||||
