Partnership:Community-Based Public Health Caucus(APHA) Community-Campus Partnership for Health
Statement of Purpose and Institute Overview:
As interest in community-based participatory research (CBPR) grows, there is a growing need and demand for educational resources that help build the knowledge and skills needed to develop and sustain effective CBPR partnerships. This demand is evident from sold-out continuing education institutes on CBPR at each of the last two APHA conferences! The purpose of this learning institute is to equip participants with the knowledge and skills they will need to develop authentic community-based participatory research partnerships designed to improve the health (broadly defined) of communities and achieve social justice.
