This presentation will address current public health nursing issues from the perspective of the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators (ACHNE). ACHNE is a vital partner to the practice organizations within the QUAD Council. The importance of strengthening partnerships between practice and education to enhance the specialty of public health nursing will be described.

Learning Objectives:
Describe public health nursing and practice partnerships from the education perspective. Discuss current activities fostered by ACHNE toward the development of public health nursing education.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am an active member of the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators. I am an Assistant Dean at Indiana University School of Nursing, and I teach community/public health nursing and serve as a project director for a school-based clinic. I have presented many continuing education offerings on this and similar topics.
