The American Nurses Association (ANA) is the national nursing organization that serves as the official voice for nursing. This presentation will describe the role that the Congress on Nursing Practice and Economics within the ANA has in supporting the work of public health nursing as a nursing specialty. Specifically, the presentation will link the importance of partnerships in accomplishing the goals of supporting the nursing profession, as well as its specialties.

Describe the current work of the ANA Congress on Nursing Practice and Economics. Discuss the importance of partnerships within and external to the nursing professional organizations.
