Biographical Sketch:
I am Associate Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education and Associate Director of the Center for Research on Ethnicity, Culture and Health, at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. I have worked with the Detroit Healthy Environments Partnership, a community based participatory research partnership working to implement and evaluate environmental interventions to promote heart health, since its inception in 2000. I have a longstanding commitment to intervention research to address environmental factors that contribute to racial, ethnic and socioeconomic health inequities. evaluating the impacts of interventions to reduce, obesity and cardiovascular disease in Detroit.
