Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I have a medical degree and a doctoral degree in epidemiology. I have worked with WHO, PAHO, and various countries (e.g. Spain and Venezuela) to conduct or guide research on immigration and health. I have more than 96 publications in the areas of health inequality and social epidemiology. Recently I helped develop an international report by the Employment Conditions Network (EMCOHET) of the World Health Organization Commission on the Social Determinants of Health. I have also given the Wade Hampton Frost Lecture for the Epidemiology Section of APHA.
