Providing effective health education -- a crucial component of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention – is a challenging task in today’s world where people are bombarded with health information from a variety of sources. This session highlights novel approaches to health education to reach divergent populations (youth, elderly, minority, low health literacy) on a variety of health behaviors and outcomes.
Session Objectives: 1.Compare and contrast strategies for and effectiveness of reaching various populations through different media.
2.Discuss role and use of technology in providing health education.
