Submit Abstract

The PRSH Section invites abstracts relating to Population, Reproductive and Sexual Health. Our section welcomes abstracts from both international and domestic perspectives. In recognition of the important contributions young people make to our field, we encourage submissions to our student poster session. An award will be given to the best student poster at our annual awards ceremony.

Abstract should be submitted along the lines of the following specific areas:
  • Abortion/post-abortion care
  • Adolescent sexual and reproductive health
  • Contraceptive use by men, women and couples
  • Gender and sexual and reproductive health
  • Men and sexual and reproductive health
  • Population and the environment
  • Program sustainability, finance and management
  • Quality of care/client provider interaction
  • Reproductive and contraceptive technologies
  • Reproductive and sexual health rights
  • Sexual health and sexuality
  • Student poster session on all the above topics
Preference will be given to abstracts that feature cutting-edge concepts and innovations, best practices, and/or lessons learned from domestic and international programs. Abstracts will be judged on their contribution to the field of PRSH, relevance to the theme of public health and water, clarity of presentation, originality, methodology and breadth of interest.

If you are interested in organizing a panel, please e-mail Barbara Anderson at banderso@seattleu.edu with the proposed panel topic and participants. You MUST specify “APHA Abstract” in the subject of all abstract submission-email. All abstracts must be submitted and reviewed individually and if accepted will be placed into sessions at the discretion of the Program Committee Chair.
