Faculty will provide detailed information on the three HCUP state-level databases: the State Inpatient Databases (SID), State Ambulatory Surgery Databases (SASD) and the State Emergency Department Databases (SEDD). The purpose, file structure, research applications, and benefits/limitations of each database will be discussed. Current research uses of the databases will be presented.
