ODPHP initiatives have incorporated the use of new media and internet technologies, such as widgets, online communities, blogs, etc. to promote the Physical Activity Guidlelines 2008, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and in www.healthfinder.gov, a government website focused on prevention. Best practices and lessons learned as a result of implementing these initiatives and products will be presented and discussed.

Learning Objectives:
Describe lessons learned from the development of the Physical Activity Guidelines 2008. Name two internet technologies use to promote the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Discuss how to use www.healthfinder.gov, a government website focused on prevention information.
