Biographical Sketch: Michelle Debbink is a fellow in the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Michigan, pursuing a joint MD/PhD degree. She will earn her PhD in the Health Management and Policy Department of UofM's School of Public Health under the guidance of Paula Lantz. Her research interests include racial inequities in health, maternal and child health, reproductive health policy, and social policies that may improve disparities in health outcomes. Prior to graduate school, Michelle worked for the Texas Program for Society and Health at the Baker Institute for Public Policy in Houston, Texas, on the connection between early childhood education policy and children's health and well-being outcomes. She received her undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Public Policy Studies from Rice University.
