Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I am a member of the ATOD Section and serve as Acting Division Director at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and have 9over the twenty years of my tenure planned and implemented numerous educational activities in cluding works hops, grantee meetings, Prevention Conferences, Women's Conferences and three major youth conferences. The themes of the conferences have included HIV/AIDS prevention, co-occuring, SPF/SIG which is a strategy for prevention planning. Prior to coming to SAMHSA, wrote the prevention chapter in the NIAAA Report to Congress, wrote and published training programs on Primary Prevention, Administrative Training for Methodone Clinic Managers, and training programs for Managers of Therapeutic Communities. Have written articles on co-occuring Illnesses: HIV and Addiction to Alcohol and Drugs; HIV and Women.
