This session provides examples of community-led initiatives resulting in systemic changes to policies and practices that affect the social, economic and physical environments that are the determinants of health and equity.
Session Objectives: 1. Describe benefits and challenges of mobilizing community support to effectuate systemic change in public health efforts. 2. Discuss central tenents of health and human right approaches.
