It is commonplace that hospital accrediting agencies require hospitals to collect declination forms on healthcare workers who refuse influenza vaccination. In an attempt to increase our own hospital's influenza vaccination rates, we created a question/answer video that addresses the misconceptions as to why our healthcare workers decline vaccination.

Learning Areas:
Occupational health and safety
Protection of the public in relation to communicable diseases including prevention or control

Learning Objectives:
After viewing the video, the learner will be able to identify at least two misconceptions healthcare workers have regarding influenza vaccination and the science behind why vaccination is safe in most instances.
