This presentation will focus on Community Benefit and Community Building activities of tax exempt hospitals and how HHS public health quality concepts can be used as criteria to aid in the identification of appropriate programs that improve community health. Illustrations are provided in the 8 IRS classifications of Community Building to the HHS Consensus Statement on Quality in Public Health, the Community Guide to Preventive Services, and Healthy People 2020.
