This session addresses various important issues related to the long-term care in various settings. Examples of covered topics include: promoting equity in Medicare home health care, the relationship between end-of-life outcomes and care processes in nursing homes, projecting the impact of the Money Follows the Person program on state Medicaid long-term care expenditures, and how older Californians with disabilities rely on public services to remain independent.
Session Objectives: 1. Identify potential contributing factors to racial/ethnic disparities in Medicare home health care outcomes. 2. Analyze the association between end-of-life outcomes and care processes in nursing homes.
