The Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act raises important questions for public health regarding democracy and the prospects for transforming the health care system to provide equitable, quality. universal, affordable health care. The presentation will define key policies that could facilitate such a system, including more progressive financing for coverage. and increasing the government's leverage to negotiate or otherwise control health care prices, and evaluate how the ACA and the Court decision bear on prospects for progress.
