The County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency has developed a strategic plan to accomplish the County's vision of healthy, safe and thriving communities called Live Well, San Diego!. It is comprised of 3 components focused on each of those areas; health, safety and thriving (self-sufficiency). This presentation will focus on the safety component of the plan called Living Safely, specifically the Health and Human Services Agency's role in safety and its collaboration with other County departments and community partners around safety.

Qualified on the content I am responsible for because: I'm a Community Health Program Specialist for the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) and have served in various community health promotion capacities for our Agency for the past eighteen years. I've responsible for key aspects of the development and implementation of San Diego County’s Live Well, San Diego! initiative, a 10-year vision for health and safety of the community, including the critical Living Safely component launching in October 2012.
