The presentations in this session explore international perspectives on health promotion and disease prevention. The presenters will discuss factors that facilitate and impede these varied populations’ from Nicaragua to Turkey to address health outcomes.
Session Objectives: After the session, participants will be able to identify the effects of translation service programs of public health center for Asian immigrant women in South Korea, compare Turkish and American undergraduate students' attitudes toward HIV/AIDS patients, describe common herbal remedies and their purposed uses in rural Nicaragua, and discuss an innovative health promotion strategy to address unmet family planning needs.
