Tuesday, October 30, 2012: 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Oral
This session will address efforts at disease prevention and health promotion in the US, China, Turkey and Costa Rica. It is often thought that we in the US have all the answers on how to keep the public healthy. However, our health indicators do not support this. This session will discuss disease prevention and health promotion efforts in an attempt to share how we in the US and other countries can learn from each other.
Session Objectives: 1. Compare and contrast disease prevention and health promotion efforts across countries globally.
